Supporting the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton.
The oceans are important. They are the cradle of life on Earth. They cover 70% of the Earth’s surface, contain 97% of the biosphere by volume and are a key component of the Earth’s climate system.
We use the oceans for food, energy and materials. They are the Earth’s principal solar heat store and regular day-to-day weather and longer-term climate. Life most likely began in the oceans, and most life never left.
You can help make a difference for our oceans.
The National Oceanography Centre, Southampton (NOCS) is one of the top centres of its kind in the world and represents an unparalleled investment in ocean and earth science in the UK. Our research and educational output have global impact.

Your gift to NOCS will help us to educate the next generation of scientists and influencers and enable us to address many important issues facing humanity.
